任期還剩下一年的總統馬英九，昨（二十）日舉推動油、電價格制度化政策說明他盡力留給台灣、留給國人的改革成績與用心。總統說，對於改革過程所引起的風風雨雨，他負全部責任；然而，他也有信心，這些決定，都經得起時間的檢驗、歷史的考驗。
昨日是馬總統就職七週年，總統特別邀請總統府資政、國策顧問以及許多來自全台各地、各行各業的民間友人，共同見證這七年來台灣的改變與成長，並以「七年奮鬥，台灣出頭」為題發表談話。
總統表示，這些年來，他很感謝大家的肯定與支持，但他也聽到了批評與反對的聲音。他知道，過去政府推動的部分政策，確實讓一些人不滿。總統說，每次決定政策時，心裡也往往陷入掙扎。但是，身為國家的領導人，他要對人民負責，也要對下一代負責，更要對台灣的永續發展負責，所以他必須做出正確的決定。這些決定，真的都很為難，但他沒有後悔。
